Pasqueflower (Pulsatilla ludoviciana)

The beautiful gold anthers and filaments that form the stamens of the
flowers are an appealing eye-catcher all by themselves. The soft white
'fingers' in the center are stigma.

The plants below were seen on April 19, 2010 at Plainview Road (Golden Colorado), elevation 6486'. GPS coordinates N39°52.744 W105°16.214.

Flowers closed up after days of rain.
