Plains Larkspur -or- Blue Larkspur -or- Carolina Larkspur (Delphinium carolinianum), family Ranunculaceae (Buttercup). Some botanists now place delphinium in the family Helleboraceae (Hellebore).

Bloom season: May through July in Colorado. -

Bloom season: May through August. The sparse foliage and thick, easily seen, stems are characteristic of this species. -
Stickywilly -or- Common Bedstraw -or- Goose Grass -or- Goosegrass -or- Cleavers -or- Catchweed Bedstraw -or- Cleaverwort -or- Scarthgrass -or- White Hedge (Galium spurium), family Rubiaceae (Bedstraw/Madder).
Plant location: Seen hiking in Roxborough Park (Colorado) on May 17, 2011. GPS coordinates: N39°25.460 W105°03.932 - Elevation: 6208'.
Bloom season: May through September. -

This plant was used as a gynecological aid by Native Americans.
Plant location: Sighted on March 30, 2011 at Lake Rita Blanca - Dalhart Texas. Note the absence of any stem whatsoever.

Plant location: Sighted in two locations: Hwy 128 and also along Hwy 93 - Colorado on May 11, 2011. Found in the following states: CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, NM, OR, SD, UT, WY.
Bloom season: June and July. Note the extremely hairy foliage, an identifying characteristic of the species. -
