Desert Madwort -or- Dwarf Alyssum (Alyssum desertorum), family Brassicaceae (Mustard)
Thank you, Dr. Matt Lavin, for correcting this identification. This was originally published as species alyssoides. The emerging glabrous fruits point to desertorum (see inset). The name in part comes from the use of the plants to cure rabies. The common name 'dwarf' is appropriate. See the plant slide for a 'dime' view of it.fsFlower
