pinnatifida), family Polemoniaceae (Phlox).</strong><br /><br /> The pleasing shape of this plant was what attracted our notice as we were headed towards Rabbit Ears Pass. See the plant slide for a sight that often comes closer to December. See the inset of the foliage slide for a peek at why this plant is named 'sticky'. Our specimen was a pale blue but can also be deeper shade. There were much smaller specimens (tallest 3" high) near the Goliath Natural Area on Mt Evans.
